During January, I will be posting (tentatively) one post every day as part of the #bloganuary challenge
Today’s Prompt: What does your ideal day look like?
This is hard to answer. What kind of ideal day? Ideal workday in the middle of the week? Ideal vacation day? Ideal weekend day? Hard to say, so I will just pick an ideal Friday!
My ideal Friday starts around 5 ~ 5:30 am ( yes, I’m an early bird and I love it) with a nice cup of hot black coffee and some reading. It can be the news, it can be the blogs I follow, it can be a book I’m reading. If we are talking about summertime it probably involves a shower. Then, head upstairs to start working. My workday goes smoothly, I learn something new, I get to figure out something that was bugging me and fix something interesting. It ends around 2pm when I’ll have lunch or I head to the Keto bakery close to home for some low-carb goodies (I miss that Tiramisu cupcake so much). Then, I will probably go for a bike ride (summer) or work out in the basement (winter/rainy days), another shower and I will end the day with either a glass of wine and a nice movie or drinks and hamburger with friends at my favourite hamburger joint back home.
And just for the sake of it, my ideal vacation day will be spent exploring some place new. Walking, getting intentionally lost in the streets of a city I’ve never been to before. Taking amazing pictures, trying local food.
And even better, a Friday while travelling and working remotely. One of my favourite workdays ever was back in 2019 when I spent 3 months backpacking here in Europe. I was staying in Toulouse and headed to Carcassone while managing work from a train. It was the best, and I tell you everything about it here. Amazing day trip, amazing food, amazing city and one of my favourites in the whole world. Go check it out.
