When the magic started

Immigrating to another country is not easy. There are a lot of hoops to jump through, a lot of challenges to overcome. Doesn’t matter how prepared you are, how much you’ve planned, it takes a while for you to get on your feet, get a place to live, get a job, establish a routine. And, at least for me, when I had all that and was able to start travelling again I spent most of my vacation time going back to Brazil to visit my family and friends.

Why, you ask? It’s simply too expensive and takes way too long to get to Brazil, so it’s not worth the trouble if you are spending at least 2 weeks. I used to spend 3. It didn’t take long to realize this was not sustainable if I wanted to see the rest of the world.

Pics are from 2014 when I first made the decision to split my time between seeing my family and friends and seeing everything else out there. And that’s when the magic started ✈️🌎

Of course, this was 3 years before the wonders of remote distributed work which was another life-changing moment 😋 but that’s a whole different story.

  1. I agree moving to the other country might be tough decision. At least it’s tough to me, and I’m still thinking. Rossana, your post is another confirmation it’s doable and worth it, thank you!

P.s. love the images set, those are beautiful 😍

    1. It’s tough, involved a lot of variables, but it’s doable and can be the most amazing decision. Whatever you decide, I hope it’s amazing for you as well 😊
