I wish I knew…

During the month of January, I will be posting (tentatively) one post every day as part of the #bloganuary challenge
Today’s Prompt: What is something you wish you knew how to do?

This is a one-word post, right? But for the sake of the challenge, I will try to elaborate a bit on that.

I love learning things and I’m a big believer that given time, anyone can learn anything. There’s no such thing as “this is too hard for A, B or C”. Anyone can learn a programming language, anyone can learn how to play an instrument, write an article, or how to draw.

How good you will become depends on several things. Talent has a role in it but also does dedication.

When I decided to take singing lessons I was a bit skeptical about it since my voice sucks, but I love to sing, so I decided to give it a try anyway and what my teacher explained was that you don’t need to have an operatic voice to sing. You can learn how to use the voice you have and in the end, I had a lot of fun.

So, back to the question, what do I wish I knew how to do?

If we are talking about something impossible, I wish I knew how to fly or travel through time.

If we are talking about the real stuff, I’m gonna go with the things I would like to do but not enough to truly dedicate enough time and money for it, like learning how to play the guitar properly, or learn how to work with chocolate decoration. Boring? Maybe.

I also wish I knew about the future. Not the details, not the lottery numbers. But just a general idea about if things are going to be alright.

Aprender a tocar violão é o oposto de boring lol. Eu gostaria de saber tocar também.
